ABSENT None CITY ATTORNEY llennis D. Hayden, present. CITY ENGINEER J. L. McBride, absent. Mayor Kidd called the meeting to order at 7:30 P. M. The correspondence was read and on motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Byrd and duly carried, was ordered received and filed. The hearing on Zoning and Building Line Setbacks ZONING for the proposed "SOUTH TUSTIN AVENUE ANTEXATION" S. TUSTIN was opened by Mayor Kidd at x:45 P. M. ANNEX. There being no protests against the map as recom- ZONING mended by the Tustin Planning Commission, showing HEARING the proposed Zoning and Building Line Setbacks, Mayor Kidd closed the hearing. "-° Councilman Bacon moved, seconded by Councilman Byrd, ZONING that the recommendations of the Tustin Planning ,,,,,, S. TUSTIN Commission for Zoning and Setback requirements for ANNEX the "SOUTH TUSTIN AVENUE ANNEXATION" be established, ESTABLISHED if said territory is annexed to the City of Tustin. Motion carried. The protest hearing on the "SOUTH TUSTIN AVENUE S. TUSTIN ANNEXATION" was opened at 8:00 P. M. ANNEX. PROTEST There being no protests filed and no one present HEARING desiring to speak, the hearing was closed. It was moved by Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Humeston, that the protests be found S. TUSTIN insufficient to terq~inate the proceedings and the ANNEX. hearing be continued until Thursday, April 7th, HEARING 1860 at 7:30 P. M. in the Council Chambers, Tustin City Hall and that the last day for filing additional protests be April 7th, 1960 at 5:00 P. M. in the office of the City Clerk, City of Tustin, Calif- ornia. Motion carried. Councilman Tadlock moved, seconded by Councilman LITTLE Bacon that the Tustin Little League be granted $750.00 I LEAGUE to be used for playground maintenance this current season. Motion carried. +r At 8:15 P. M. Mayor Kidd recessed the meeting for ten (10) minutes and called an Executive Session for discussion of personnel matters. ~. nAi_i The Council reconvened at 8:25 P. M. PROBATION- Councilman Tadlock moved, seconded by Councilman Byrd aRY APPT. that Sergeant Glenn V. Sissel be appointed Chief of CHIEF Police for a six months probationary period. Motion SISSEL carried. The matter of amending Ordinance No. 95 to clarify AMEND Section 3; Paragraph (a) so that it would not be ORD N0. necessary to comply with the sidewalk and curb 95 provision, if only acc:ssory buildings such as garages were constructed, was discussed. City Attorney Hayden was instructed to bring an amendment to said Ordin- ance at the next meeting. It was rnoved by Councilman Humeston, seconded by Council- JUllSON man Bacon, that garages be excepted from Ordinance PERMIT No. 95 and that Frank H. Judson be issued a permit to construct a garage without complying with the curb and sidewalk provisions of the present Ordinance. Motion carried.
