STATUS REPORT - RESTRICTED PARKING ON DEVONSHIRE AND ROANOKE AVENUES
On January 21, 1985, the City Council approved the installation of "four hour
parking limit between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m." signs on both
Devonshire and Roanoke Avenues adjacent to Centennial Park. At the time of this
approval, Council requested a status report on said signing from both City staff
and the Tustin Meadows Homeowners Association six months after the sign
installation.
As of this date, staff has received no adverse comments regarding the installation
from either the residents of the area or the Homeowners Association.
Additionally, we have not received any comments regarding enforcement
difficulties from the Police Department.
Personal observation of these areas during the last six months indicate a big
reduction of vehicles being parked in these areas displaying "for sale" and
"garage sale" signs.
It is suggested that these signs remain in place on a permanent basis and that
staff monitor and report to Council any significant concerns or complaints that
may arise.
