Discussion: The Community Development Department, Building Division is responsible for the interpretation and enforcement of the Building Codes. However, Section 204 provides for appeals when there is a conflict of interpretation. An appeal has been submitted concerning the Pacific Bell project at 1452-1472 Edtnger on requirements for roof drain design. At present we do not have an active appeals board. Therefore, we have contacted the following professionals who have agreed to serve, as a courtesy and without cost to the City. It is intended that no less than three members would hear an appeal. Also, the Building Official is an ex-officio member and secretary of the Board. Howard E. Larnard 507 East First Street, Suite E Certified.Building Official C.A.B.O.
