NO PARKING SIGNS FOR STREET SWEEPING ON CALIFORNIA STREET BETWEEN
CORLA AND MEDALLIAN
RECOMMENDATION:
Pleasure of the Council.
BACKGROUND:
At the August 5, 1985 regular Council meeting, Council was presented a petition to
remove the no parking signs for street sweeping on California Street. The
petition consisted of signatures of eleven (11) of the twenty-one {21) residents
on the street.
Since the eleven petition signatures represented just over fifty percent of the
residents on California Street, Council directed staff to survey all residents of
the street to determine their preference as to whether to leave the signs up or
take the signs down. This was done by means of a mailed questionnaire to each
resident. (Copy of questionnaire attached).
To date, seventeen of the twenty-one residents (80.95%) have responded. Responses
are as follows:
Want the signs removed
Do not want signs removed
