Huston City Manager City of Tustin 300 Centennial Way Tustin, California 92680 Dear Bill: Community Cablevision is planning: to implement a modest increase in basic rates effective October 1, 1985. Since our last increase in M~rch of 1984, costs per subscriber have risen substantially. These increases are directly attributable to increased manpower requirements, programming costs and technical enhancements which have been required to provide the highest quality services to our subscribers. Although city council approval is not required under the provisions of the 1984 Cable Communications Act, it will continue to be our policy to keep city officials informed in advance of anticipated. changes. The planned increases are: Effective Current 10/01/85 Increase ~ $ 9.25 $ 9.70 $ .45 4.9 $14.25 $14.95 $...70 4.9 RECEPTION SERVICE (.Ch 2-13) K~T.~IDOSCOPE SERVICE (Ch. 2-36) (includes Manual Decoder Rental) Ail supplemental services, including premium channels and additional outlets will also be increased approximately 5%. These increases amount to an additional $.14 per week for our average basic subscriber which is less than the increase in the consumer price index. We appreciate the opportunity to provide quality cable service to the City of Tustin and look forWard to your continued suppok~ of.our efforts. If yoga?have any questions or would like to discuss our plans, please c.a~.me directly at 720-2046. .
