MEETING OF THE TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL,
AUGUST 31st, 1959.
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Kidd, Bacon, & Byrd.
ABSENT : Tadlock & Humeston
CITY ENGINEER : J. L. McBride, present
CITY ATTORNEY : Dennis D. Hayden, present.
Mayor Kidd called the meeting to order at 7:20 P. M.
A PETITION A Petition for Annexation to the Clty of Tustin was
FOR ANNEX- presented by Alvin R. Pauch, John A. Prescott,
ATION TO H.E. Balmer et al, owners of property as described
THE CITY OF in attached Exhibit A to said petition; and on
TUSTIN. Motion of Councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman
Byrd and duly carried, said petition was ordered
received and filed.
Councilman Byrd moved, seconded by Councilman Bacon
RESOLUTION NO.485, "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
RESOLUTION COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT
NO. 485 OF A PETITION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN, DESIGNATING THE
TERRITORY AS THE "'PRESCOTT*BALMER ANNEXATION",
DESCRIBING THE BOUNDERIES OF THE TERRITORY PROPOSED
TO BE ANNEXED, AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE DAY, HOUR --~
AND PLACE, WHERE AND WHEN ANY PERSON OWNING REAL
PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRITORY SO PROPOSED TO BE
ANNEXED MAY APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY
COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD
NOT BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN," be adopted.
Motion carried, all Councilmen present voting Aye.
HIRING OF It was moved by Councilman Byrd, seconded by
EARNEST B. Councilman Bacon that Ernest B. Archer be hired
ARCHER AS as Building Inspector, effective September 1, 1959
BUILDING at a salary of $100.00 per month and $25.00 per
INSPECTOR month Auto Expense allowance. If inspections at
$2.00 per inspection and Plan Check Fees exceed the
stated salary of $100.00 per month, he is to receive
the greater amount. Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned on Motion of Councilman
Bacon, seconded by Councilman Byrd and duly carried.
