MEETING OF THE TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL,
AUGUST 24, 1959.
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Bacon, Tadlock, Humeston & Byrd.
ABSENT : Kidd
CITY ATTORNEY : Dennis D. Hayden, present.
CITY ENGINEER : Absent.
Mayor pro tem Bacon called the meeting to order at
7:00 P. M.
ORDINANCE Councilman Tadlock moved, seconded by Councilman Byrd
NO. 128 that ORDINANCE NO. 128, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN FIXING AND DETERMINING
THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY
TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY
OF TUSTIN AND THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO
CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1959-1960", have its second
reading by title only. Motion carried, all Council-
men present voting Aye.
ADOPTION It was moved by Councilman Byrd, seconded by Council-
ORD NO. man Humeaton that ORDINANCE NO. 128 be adopted.
128 Motion carried, all Councilmen present voting Aye.
It was moved by Councilman Tadlock, seconded by
ORDINANCE Councilman Humeston that ORDINANCE NO. 129, "AN
NO. 129 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUS~IN FIXING AND DETERM-
INING THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE REQUIRED FROM PROPERTY
TAXES TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN AND FIXING THE RATE OF TAX ON THE TAXABLE
PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF TUSTIN TO CARRY ON THE
WORK OF THE CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1959-1960", have
its second reading by title only. Motion carried,
all Councilmen present voting Aye.
ADOPTION Councilman Humeaton moved, seconded by Councilman
ORD. NO. Tadlock that.ORDINANCE NO. 129 be adopted. Motion
129 carried, all Councilmen present voting Aye.
TRANSFER- On motion of Councilman Byrd, seconded by Councilman
ANCE OF Humeston and duly carried, the City Treasurer is
$4500.00 authorized to transfer $500.00 from the General
FROM GEN Fund of the City of Tustin to the Traffic Safety
FUND TO Fund for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year
TRAF. SFTY 1958-1959.
INCREASE It was moved by Councilman Humeston, seconded by
SALARY Councilman Byrd that the salary of Patrolman Allec
FOR ALLEC be increased to $390.00 per month and the salary
& SISSEL of Sergeant Sissel be increased to $410.00 per month,
RETROACTIVE increases retroactive to July l, 1959. Motion carried.
Police Commissioner Tadlock, after discussion with

ON SALARY suggested minor changes, he stated they would be

On motion of Councilman Humeston, seconded by Councilman
Byrd and duly carried, the meeting was adjourned until
7:00 P. M. Monday August 31, 1959.
