O. - That Ordinance No. 944 be passed and adopted. {Roll Call Vote) 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 '13 14 15 16 17 18 19 2O 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 ORDINANCE NO. 944 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, REZONING 12821 NEWPORT AVENUE FROM R-3 (MULTIPLE FAMILY) DISTRICT TO PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT (P&I), AS SHOWN IN EXHIBIT "A" The City Council of the city of Tustin does hereby ordain as follows: I. The City Council finds and determines as follows: That a proper application, (Zone Change No. 85-6) has been filed by the city of Tustin to change the zone for 12821 Newport Avenue from R-3 (Multiple Family District) to Public and Institutional District (P&I), as shown in Exhibit "A". B. That a public hearing was duly called, noticed and held on said application. C. That a zone change should be granted for the following reasons: That the proposed change would bring the Tustin Area General Plan in conformance with the Zoning Map. That the proposed c~ange would not be detrimental to the public health, safety, and welfare of the surrounding property owners. Development of subject property shall be in accordance with the policies adopted by the City Council; Uniform Building Codes as administered by the Building Official; Uniform Fire Code as administered by the Orange County Fire Marshal; and street improvement requirements as administered by the City Engineer. In accordance with the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines, the subject project will not have a significant impact on the environment and therefore a Negative Declaration is recommended to the City Council. The City Council hereby approves Zone Change No. 85-6, from R-3 (Multiple Family District) to Public and Institutional District (P&I) for 12821 Newport Avenue, as shown in Exhibit "A".
