OF THE TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL,
AUGUST 17, 1959.
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Bacon, Tadlock, Humeston & Byrd.
ABSENT : Kidd
CITY ATTORNEY : Dennis D. Hayden, present.
CITY ENGINEER : J. L. McBride, present.
Mayor pro tem Bacon called the meeting to order at
7:35 P. M.
On motion of Councilman Byrd, seconded by Council-
man Humeston and unanimously carried, minutes of the
last meeting were approved as mailed.
REQUEST Councilman Tadlock moved, seconded by Councilman Byrd
AL'S that the letter from Al's Woodcraft regarding parking
WOODCRAFT space in front of the store be referred to the
Chief of Police for a report at next Council meeting.
Motion carried.
RECEIPT The balance of the correspondence consisting of acknow-
OF RES. ledgemerits of receipt of RESOLUTIONS N0. 482 and 484 was
NO. 482 ordered received and filed.

484 It was moved by Councilman Humeston, seconded by
Councilman Byrd that ORDINANCE N0. 127, amending ORD-
ORD. INANCE 71 as amended, have its second reading by title
NO. 127 only. Motion carried, all CounciImen present voting
Aye.
Councilman Byrd moved, seconded by Councilman Humeston
that ORDINANCE NO. 127, amending ORDINANCE 71 as
amended and establishing a new building line setback
on South "B" Street, southerly from Sixth Street be
adopted. Motion carried, all Councilmen present
voting Aye.
MOTION On motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman
FOR NEW Byrd and carried, the City Clerk was instructed to
DRINKING purchase and have installed a new drinking fountain
FOUNTAIN for the City Hall arid not to exceed $100.00 in cost.
Councilman Tadlock moved, seconded by Councilman Humeston
that ORDINANCE NO. 128 "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL,
ORD. NO. OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, FIXING AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT
128 OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE
TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF TUSTIN AND THE AMOUNT
OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENT OF
SAID CITY FOR TRE FISCAL YEAR 1959-60", have its first
reading in its entirety. Motion carried, all Councilmen
present voting Aye.
Councilman Tadlock moved, seconded by Councilman Humeston
ORD. NO. that ORDINANCE NO. 129, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
129 TUSTIN FIXING AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE
REQUIRED FROM PROPERTY TAXES TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DE-
PARTMENTS OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, AND FIXING THE RATE OF
TAX ON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF TUSTIN
TO CARRY ON THE WORK 0F THE CITY FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR 1959-1960," have its first reading in its
entirety. Motion carried, all Councilmen present
voting Aye.
It was moved by Councilman Humeston, seconded by
Councilman Byrd and carried thst the bills be paid.

Councilman Humeston moved, seconded by Councilman
Byrd that the meeting be adjourned until Monday,
August 24, 1959 at 7:00 P. M. Motion carried.
