BACKGROUND: The Tustin Meadows Community Associated has requested that two locations as follows: ° On Devonshire Avenue adjacent to Centennial Park ° On Roanoke Avenue adjacent to Centennial Park be posted for "Four Hour Parking Any Time". As indicated on the attached letter of request, this restriction will hopefully discourage these areas for parking vehicles which display advertising and for sale signs. DISCUSSION: Section 533 of the Tustln City Codes states the following: No operator of any vehlicle shall park said vehicle upon any street in this city advertising or displaying it for sale, unless authorized by Resolution of the City Council. This section only pertains to vehicles for sale and does not cover other types of advertising displayed on vehicles such as garage sales, etc. Section 5331e of the Tustin City Code provides for the implementation of a four hour parking zone as requested. We have a terrible problem with cars Parking there with "For Sale" signs on them. Could these two areas be signed for "4 hour Parking"? Hopefully that would discourage this kind of activity and also give the Police an enforcement tool. Thank you for your help. Yours Truly, Kathy Weil Civic Liaison Director
