BACKGROUND: The city is in the process of drilling/installing a domestic water well at the southeasterly corner of Prospect Avenue and Beneta Way which will require an electrical utility service from the street right-of-way to the point of service at the wellsite. Southern California Edison Company has requested the city to grant an easement across Columbus-Tustin parksite property so that the required electrical service can be provided to the wellsite. DISCUSSION: The attached Grant of Easement provides for a six foot wide easement approximately 35 feet' in length between the easterly right-of-way line on Prospect Avenue to the point of service at the wellsite to install and maintain the electrical service run. This is a typical type easement of which the city has previously granted several over the past years.
