THE TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL, MAY 4, 1959
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Kidd, Tadlock, Bacon & Byrd.
ABSENT : Humeston.
CITY ATTORNEY : Dennis D. Hayden, present.
CITY ENGINEER : J..L. McBride.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P. M. by Mayor
Kidd.
Motion of Councilman*Byrd, seconded by Councilman
Tadlock, that the minutes be approved as mailed.
Motion carried.
PAUCK A letter received from Mr. & Mrs. Alvin R. Pauck
PETITION requesting that property they own at the corner of
FOR ANNEX- Orange Avenue and Laguna Road be annexed to the
ATION City of Tustin; was referred to City Engineer McBride
and City Attorney Hayden.
Other correspondence was ordered received and filed.
ORANGE Mr. F. S. Dickason from the Orange County Planning
COUNTY Commission was presented to the Council by City
PLANNING Engineer McBride and gave a very interesting talk
COMM. on Planning as it affected various sections of
Orange County and answered a great variety of
questions concerning present and future planning
for the area immediately adjacent to Tustin.
APP'T OF Mayor Kidd stated that he had contacted Lt. Col
WILLIAMSON Buel A. Williamson, Rtd. of 1322 Lucinda Way,
AS CIVIL Tustin, and that he had consented to act as Civil
DIRECTOR Defense Director for Tustin and Community.
It was moved by Councilman Bacon, seconded by Council-
man Tadlock that Lt. Col. Williamson be appointed
Director of Civil Defense for Tustin. Motion carried.
ORD. NO. Councilman Tadlock moved, seconded by Councilman
123, CIVIL Byrd that Ordinance No. 123, establishing a Disaster
DISASTER Council for the City of Tustin, have its first read-
ORDINANCE ing by Title only. Motion carried, all Councilmen
present voting Aye.
TAX City Attorney Hayden was authorized to sign a Tax
RELEASE Release on certain school property, as requested
SCHOOL by Orange County Tax Collector, Don Mozley, on
PROP. motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Council-
man Bacon and carried.
It was moved by Councilman Tadlock, seconded by
Councilman Byrd that the bills be paid. Motion
carried.
