COMPUTERIZATION OF CITY TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEMS
Several months ago, the City Council requested staff to investigate the
feasibility of utilizing the City of Santa Ana's traffic signal computerization
program if capacity was available within that system.
This feasibility investigation will be included within the city wide traffic study
which is currently being finalized by Austin Foust and Associates and will be
available in January, 1985 for City Council review.
Any change in the city's system to that which would be compatible with the City of
Santa Aha would take extensive and expensive equipment changes. However, all of
these areas will be addressed in the traffic study with perhaps some alternative
ideas.
This item requires no action by the City Council and it is suggested that it be
received and filed.
