BACKGROUND:
The Revenue Sharing Review Committee has reviewed all applications for 84/85
Revenue Sharing Funding from community non-profit groups. The Committee reviewed
all the applications, discussed each one's merit, and has made recommendations
based on the criteria which the City Council approved. From all the criteria
the following were chosen as the most important:
The number of Tustin residents served.
The means of other support which the group had. For example, if the
group tended to have a very large budget and many other sources of
income, especially from client fees, the Committee tended not to support
that group. The Committee wanted to give the money where it would
make a real difference.
Staff feels that the Revenue Sharing Review Committee did an excellent job. They
are a dedicated group of community volunteers and have been officially thanked
by a letter from the Mayor.
The recommendations total $40,000. which is the amount the Council had set
aside for revenue sharing funding for community non-profit groups.
