HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1959 01 19 MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL, JANUARY 19, 1959 COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Kidd, Tadlock, Humeston and Bacon. COUNCILMEN ABSENT: Byrd. CITY ATTORNEY : Dennis D. Hayden, present. CITY ENGINEER : J. L. McBride, present. Meeting was c[lled to order at 7:30 P. M. by Mayor Kidd. It was moved by Councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman Tadlock that minutes of the previous meeting be elmproved as mailed. Motion carried. PERMIT On motion of Councilman Humeston, seconded by Councilman TO Bacon, that an application to renew their permit to sell BLIND and deliver merchandise ~,:ithin the city for the year 19~9 INDUS- by the Blind Industries, Sales, be approved. Motion carried. TRIES A request by the Orange County Society for Crippled Children and Adults, Inc., to sell paper lapel Easter lilies on the REQUEST streets of Tustin, March 20th and 21st, 1959, was approved on TO SELL motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Humeston. LILIES It was called to the attention of the Council that Wayne Darwin would be unable to continue as Building Inspector. BLDG. It was moved by Councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman INSPEC- Tadlock that the City Clerk be authorized to engage an TION inspector on a temporary basis. Motion carried. Motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Bacon and carried that an advertisement be run in the Tustin News for a part time Building Inspector. NISSON RD The Resolution adopted by the Tustin Planning Commission approv- CHANGE ing the re-zoning from C-2 to R-3 of the property owned by ON ZONE. Mr. Len H. RESOLU- On motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman TION Humeston that Resolution No. 457, "A Resolution of the City #457. Council of the City of Tustin, .California, declaring its intentipn to initiate proceedings to re-zone certain property described herein and recommending zoning of said property", be adopted. ORD. Motion pf Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Humeston #120 that Ordinance No. 120, prohibiting Fortune Telling, have its first reading in its entirety. Motion carried. It was moved by Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Humeston and carried, that the bills be paid. The Tustin News $4.16 So. Calif.
