OF THE TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL,
DECEMBER 15. 1958
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Kidd, Tadlock, Humeston, Bacon & Byrd.
ABSENT. : None.
CITY ATTORNEY : Dennis D. Hayden, absent.
CITY ENGINEER : J. L. McBride, present.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Kidd at 7:30 P. M.
It was moved by Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Byrd,
that the minutes of the last meeting be aporoved as mailed.
Motion carried.
APP'T On motion of Councilman Byrd, seconded by Councilman Bacon,
OF FIRE Morgan Hilton. was appointed Fire Chief and H. Louis Hanson,
CHIEF & Assistant Fire Chief for the Year 1959, as recommended
ASS'T by the Tustin Fire Department at their meeting December 11,
FIRE 1959. Motion carried.
CHIEF
As recommended by the Survey Committee of the Tustin
SALARY Fire Department in their letter dated December 12, 1959,
DECIDED it was moved by councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman
UPON FOR Tadlock that the Fire Chief receive $25.00 per month
FIRE CHIEF and the Assistant Fire Chief $15.00 per month, in addition
AND FOR to the regular pay for calls and meetings, said compensation
ASS'T to start as of December 1, 1959. Motion carried.
HEART On motion of Councilman Byrd, seconded by Councilman
ASS'N Humeston and carried, the Orange County Heart Association
GIVEN was granted their request to conduct a fund raising
PER- campaign during the month of February 1959.
MISSION
Camp Fire Girls, Orange County Council requested permission
CAMP- to conduct their annual peanut sale January 16, through
FIRE February 2, 1959. It was moved by Councilman Tadlock,
GIRLS seconded by Councilman Humeston that permission be granted
PERMISS- as requested. Motion carried.

Letters from City Engineer McBride and the Orange County
RELEASE Road Department were received stating that all street
OF BOND improvements in Tract No. 2187 had been completed in a
FOR satisfactory manner. On motion of Councilman Humeston,
TRACT seconded by Councilman Byrd thab the street improvement
#2187 for Tract No. 2187 be accepted as recommended by City
Engineer McBride and the improvement bond posted by
New Homes, inc., be released. Motion carried.
RESOLUTION Motion of Councilman Byrd, seconded by Councilman Bacon
#456 that RESOLUTION NO. 456 accepting deed ~ and consenting
ACCEPTING to recordation thereof, be adopted. Motion carried,
DEED. all Councilmen voting Aye.
KIDD On motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman
GRANTED Bacon and carried, Mayor Kidd was granted permission to
PERMISSION leave the state until January 10, 1959.
TO LEAVE
Mayor Kidd appointed Councilman Byrd and Humeston, and
NEW SYS- City Clerk Park, a committee to investingate a new system
TEM ON of Building Permit Fees and also compensation for the
PERMIT Building inspector.

Motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman
Humeston that the bills be paid. Motion carried.
