HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC 4 PERMIT NO. 84-16 11-05-84CONSENT CALENDAR NO. 4 11-5-84 RESOLUTION NO. 84-86 A RESOLUTION OF ~HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN CALIFORNIA, ACTING ON AN APPEAL OF THE CITY COUNCIL AFFIRMING THE FINDINGS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION CONCERNING USE PERMIT NO. 84-16 (Tustin Community Hospital) 1 2 3 4 The City Council of the City of'Tu'stin,-California does hereby resolve as 6 follows: ? I. - The City Council finds and determines as follows: $ A. That a proper application (Use Permit.No. 84-16) was filed on~ behalf of Tustin Community Hospital requesting authorization to 9 construct a 57',563 four story medical office building at 14662 Newport Avenue. 10 B. That a Public Hearing was duly called, noticed and held on the 11 said application. 12 C. That the Planning Commission of the City of Tustin, by Resolution No. 2182 did approve said use permit application.with 13 authorization to develop a 57,563,. four story medical office.' 14 D. That the City Council, at their meeting of Oct. l, 1984, by a vote of five ayes, appealed the decision of the Planning 15 Commission pursuant to City Code Section 9294b. 16 F. That the City Council determined that the findings and conclusions of the Planning Commission were correct and the 17 conditions of approval were appropriate to mitigate negative environmental impacts. 18 II. The City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby affirm the 19 findings of the Planning Commission as contained in Resolution No. 2182, subject to the additional following conditions: 20 Q. The final parking plan shall be subject to review and approval 21 of City Council. 22 R. The hospital agrees to maintain the present level of acute care and not inordinately increase the specialized care 23 "' ~rehabilitation programs without City approval. 2~ S. During the four year period following City issuance of a "certificate of occupancy" for the medical office building, 25 Tustin Community Hospital ag'rees to perform a parking and circulation study at City direction, utilizing a traffic 26 engineering firm acceptable to the City. If the study results 27 28 1 2 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 2O 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 Resolution No. 84-86 page two indicate inadequate onsite parking to accommodate both Tustin Community Hospital and the medical office building demands, the Hospital, at the discretion of City Council will provide the required additional parking to a maximum of 519 onsite spaces by one of the following alternatives; 1. Purchase and/or lease adjoining property or provide the needed parking spaces. 2. Build structured parking onsite.
