HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC 9 ANNL PVMNT MKNG 11-05-84AGENDA DATE: OCTOBER 30, 1984 TO: THRU: FROM: CONSENT CALENDAR NO.'9 11-5-84 Inter- Com WILL~AM HUSTON, CITY MANAGER BOB LEDENDECKER, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER MONDA BUCKLEY, ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT SUBdECT: RENEWAL OF THE ANNUAL PAVEMENT MARKING PROGRAM CONTRACT RECOMMENDATION: Request the Tustin City Council, at their regular meeting of November 5, 1984, renew the pavement marking contract with J & S Sign Company for an estimated annual cost of $23,588.31. BACKGROUND: On December 12, 1984 the contract for the Annual Pavement Marking Program with J & S Sign Company expires. Under the terms of the agreement, the City has the right to renew the contract twice provided services rendered are acceptable; al so, under the terms of the agreement, the company has the right to escalate the contract prices in accord with the C.P.I. The services rendered by J & S Sign Company are acceptable to the City; and, the company has expressed the desire to renew the contract escalating costs in accord with the September, 1984 C.P.I. of 4.7 percent. This would be the second and final renewal of the existing Annual Pavement Marking Program contract. Monda Buckl ey Administrative Assistant MB:jr
