HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1958 12 01 MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL, DECEMBER 1ST, 1958. COUNCILMEN. PRESENT: Kidd, Tadlock, Humeston, Bacon & Byrd. ABSENT : None. City Attorney Dennis D. Hayden and City Engineer McBride, present. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kidd. Minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved as mailed., on motion of Councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman Tadlock. AGREEMENT City Engineer McBride presented an agreement with the WITH CO. County of Orange for resurfacing that portion of Yorba FOR YORBA Street within the city limits. Council Bacon moved, seconded by Councilman Byrd that Mayor Kidd and City Clerk Park be authorized to sign said agreement for the City of Tustin. Motion carried. SURVEY ON Engineer McBride reported that a survey had been com- ALLEY BE- pleted of the alley. between Third Street and Main Street, TWEEN 3RD back of Utt Juice Co., K. P. Hall et al. It was his ST. & opinion that the cost of bringing it to grade and paving MAIN ST. would be prohibitive at this time, especially in view of the fact that if sewers were installed at a later date, it would have to be torn up and partially done over. He suggested that if the property owners would grade and oil it, under city supervision, that the cost to the property owners be around $275.00, if the city paid the expense of re-bui!ding the sidewalk and drain. REQUEST Paul Snow had contacted Mayor Kidd before the Council ON XMAS meeting and requested permission for a Boy Scout Troop TREES to sell Xmas trees on the vacant lot in front of the Harold Finley Truck Co. On motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Humeston and carried, the above request was granted. SURVEY Mayor Kidd agreed to contact the Edison Co., and ask for ON CITY'S a survey of the City's lighting, with a view to improving LIGIITING it where possible. Motion of Councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman Humeston that the bills be paid. Motion carried.
