MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE
TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL, NOVEMBER 3, 1958
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Kidd, Tadlock, Humeston, Bacon & Byrd.
ABSENT : None.
City Attorney Hayden & City Engineer McBride, present.
Motion of Councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman Humeston
and carried, minutes of the last meeting were approved as mailed.
Mayor Kidd re-opened the hearing on the vacation of F Street.
Mr. Albert Neiblas was present and re-itereated his
NEIBLAS statement at the hearing of October 20, 1958 that the
EASEMENT easement should not exceed ten feet from the east line
of F Street.
HEARING Motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman
CLOSED Humeston that the hearing be closed. Motion carried.
Councilman Tadlock moved, seconded by Councilman Byrd
that RESOLUTI0N NO. 434, vacating F Street be adopted.
Motion carried, all Councilmen voting Aye.
RE-ZONE
HEARING The hearing on re-zoning portions of B and C Streets
was opened by Mayor Kidd.
There was no one present who desired to protest said
re-zoning.
HEARING On motion of Councilman Byrd, seconded by Councilman
CLOSED Bacon and carried, the hearing on the above re-zoning
was closed.
ORD. #119 Motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman
FIRST Byrd that ORDINANCE NO. 119 have its first reading by
READING title only. Motion carried.
City Engineer McBride reported on the resurfacing of the
RE-SUR- portion of Yorba-Street within the city limits. Councilman
FACING Tadlock moved, seconded by Councilman Humeston that
OF PORTION City Engineer McBride be authorized to have the county
YORBA ST. re-surface Yorba Street and charge the City of Tustin
the cost thereof. Motion carried.
NAME Engineer McBride reported that he had contacted the
CHANGE County regarding the name change for Laguna Road and
ON LA- was informed that a hearing would be held, after a
GUNA RD. petition was presented by the property owners, also
the same procedure would apply for the city. Engineer
McBride agreed to so inform Mr. Pankey.
USE OF A communication regarding use of the Council Chambers by
COUNCIL a Tustin Elementary School Committee was referred to
ROOMS the City Clerk for more information.
RENT OF A letter was submitted by Postmaster, Jess Parks,
COUNCIL stating that he would like to rent the former Library
ROOMS room for the month of December.
BID Motion of Councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman
FROM POST- Byrd that Mayor Kidd be authorized to sign bid offering
OFFICE. rental to the Postoffice for $100.00 for month December 1st
to December 31st, 1958, the city to pay utilities.
Motion carried.
BIDS Discussed bids on roofing for City Hall. Councilman
ON Tadlock agreed to get additional estimates and
ROOF- furnish specifications for same.

PER- Motion of Councilman Humeston, seconded by Councilman
MISSION Byrd that the City Clerk be authorized to have
GIVEN roofing done after additional bids received. Motion
BY carried.
COUNCIL.
NAMING Charles Greenwood inquired regarding street naming
PLAN under County uniform plan. A general discussion
followed.
On motion of Councilman Bacon, seconded by Council-
man Tadlock and carried, the bills were ordered paid.
