PACIFIC BELL UTILITY EASEMENTS.
RECOMMENDATION: '
That the Tustin City Council, at their meeting of October 15, 1984, authorize the
Mayor to execute the attached grant deeds delineating easements within Lot E,
Tract No. 6580, a~dacross the easterly six feet of the parking lot-located at
14742 Devonshire Avenue.
~ACKGROUND:
Pacific Bell has requested that the city grant two easements on publicly owned
property within the Tustin Meadows residential development in order that they may
expand and/or inl)rove their communications system within that area.
In addition to the requested easements on public property, Pacific Bell will be
obtaining easements from various private property owners within the Tustin Meadows
area..
DISCUSSION:
Attached are two grant of easement documents for easements within the following
areas:
1. A portion of Lot E, Tract 6580, a five (5) foot easement between
Brookshire Avenue and Royal Oak Road.
2. The easterly six feet of the parking lot located at 14742 Devonshire
Avenue.
These easements are shown as the crosshatched area on the sketches accompanying
the easement deeds.
Pacific Bell has indicated that certain of the cable facilities within the Tustin
Meadows area'need replacement, as well as the original system requiring expansion
due to the additional demands of the consumer.
The requested easements do not appear to conflict with existing city facilities
nor do they appear to pose a problem with any future facilities planned by the
city.
