CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kennedy at 5:04 p.m. in the City Hall Conference Room, 300 Centennial Way. II. ROLL CALL Councilpersons Present: Councilpersons Absent: Others Present: III. BUI.~ TRAIN Ursula E. Kennedy, Mayor Frank H. Greinke, Mayor Pro Tem Richard B. Edgar Donald J. Saltarelli Ronald B. Hoesterey James G. Rourke, City Attorney William A. Huston, City Manager Mary E. Wynn, City Clerk Approximately 4 in the audience The City Attorney requested a Closed Session for legal matters.' It was moved by Edgar, seconded by Greinke, to recess to a Closed Session for legal matters at 5:05 p.m. Carried 4-0, Hoesterey absent. IV. RECESSED at 5:05 p.m. and RECONVENED at 5:26 p.m. BULLEt TPu~IN (Continued) It was moved by Saltarelli, seconded by Edgar, to authorize the staff and the City Attorney to proceed with such further litigation that appears appropriate at this time against American High Speed Rail regarding the Bullet Train. Carried 4-0, Hoesterey absent. It was moved by Edgar, seconded by Greinke, that the City Attorney direct the appropriate communication to the Attorney General to investigate what appears to be very questionable involvement of Bruce Young, Governor Jerry Brown, and any other parties appropriate, in pushing through legislation (AB3647) approving the Bullet Train. Carried 4-0, Hoesterey absent. ADOOURNt, ENT It was moved ?
