HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1958 06 13 MINUTES OF A REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL JUNE 13, 1958 COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Kidd, Bacon, Byrd, Humeston, Tadlock ABSENT : None. CITY ATTORNEY : Dennis D. Hayden, present. Mayor Kidd called the meeting to order at 7:20 P. M. Minutes of the last meeting were deferred until next regular meeting. CERTIFI- CertiCicates by L. B. Wallace, County Clerk and A. O. Park, CATION City Clerk relating to sufficiency of Petition for OF G. T. Annexation of Inhabited Territory to the City of Tustin, ANNEXA- were presented to the Tustin City Council. TION. Motion of Councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman Byrd that the Petitions and Certifications of sufficiency of PETITIONS said petitions for the Annexation of the proposed area FILED. known as the "Greater Tustin Annexation", be received and filed. Motion carried. Motion of Councilman Byrd, seconded by Councilman Bacon that RESOLUTION NO. 441, "Resolution of the City Council of the City of Tustin declaring its intention to call RESOLUTION a special election to submit to the qualified electors NO. 441 residing in the hereinafter described territory the question of Annexation of said territory to the City of Tustin", be adopted. Motion carried, all Councilmen voting Aye. Motion of Councilman Humeston, seconded by Councilman Tadlock that a copy of RESOLUTION NO. 441 be forwarded to the City Engineer and to the Tustin Planning Commission. Motion carried. SHIELD'S Mr. Martin Shields, 14061 Windsor Place and resident of PROTEST the proposed area to be annexed to the City of Tustin, ON LEGAL- was present and requested information as to the legality ITY OF of certain protests signed by some residents of the area SIGNATURES opposed to the annexation. He was informed by City Attorney Hayden to file the protests in question with the City Clerk at his earliest convenience and he would be given a ruling as to their legality within two hours.
