STATUS REPORT CONCERNING CITY PARKING STRUCTURE
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION:
On July 24, 1984 the Gfeller Development Company was notified in writing abut
City concerns regarding cracks in the subject parking qriveway ramp. A meeting
on August 23, 1984, was held at the site to view the cracks which were noted in
the City'.s correspondence. Those who attended included City staff {Senior
Planner, Plan Checker, Plan Check Consultant); Gfeller project managers, project
structural engineer, soils engineer, and contractor.
It was agreed that the structural engineer should review the plans and
calculations for the garage and prepare a report for the Gfeller Development
Company which will provide procedures and actions necessary to correct the
problems. The structural engineer stated the report should be ready within a
week and a half.
A second meeting with all the participants was then scheduled for September 7,
1984 to review the report and recommendations.

COLUMBUS-TUSTIN WELL PROJECT STATUS REPORT
As requested by Councilman Edgar, the following is a continuing status report on
the subject project:
May 14, 1984 . Redevelopment Agency awarded contract for subject project
to low bidder, Stang Hydronics, Inc.
May 17 1984 . Contracts mailed to Stang Hydronics in Rancho Cordova
for their execution.
June 12, 1984 - Stang 14ydronics confirmed contracts in route to City by mail.
June 25 1984 _ Contracts have not been received by the City - Contractor
' assured Mr. Rowenhorst they were mailed June 22, 1984. Upon
receipt of the contracts, they will be disbursed to
appropriate parties for execution of contract. Start date is
dependent upon contract execution date.
July 10, 1984 . Pre-construction meeting held with Stang Hydronics.
July' t2, 1984 _ Expected start date for security fence installation.
July 18, 1984 - Start date for test hole.
July 28, 1984 - Test hole completed. Drilling of test hole stopped at depth
of 1,470 feet in lieu of 1,600 feet due to geological
condition of test hole.
July 31, 1984 . Commence testing as follows:
a. Drift indicator survey
b. Geophysical logging and caliper survey
c. Isolated aquifer water quality sampling
August 13, 1984 - Start date for reaming final well hole.
August 20, 1984 - Completed reaming of final well hole in late p.m. to depth of
1,250 feet.
. Completed caliper survey of final well hole.

Expected start date of the placement of final well
casing and screening. Estimated time of this placement
is 24-30 hours. Completed placement of well casing and
screen on August 22, 1984.
Expected start date of gravel pack placement and grout seals.
Estimated time of this phase is two days. Completed gravel
pack placement and grout seals on August 23, 1984.
Commenced well development phase (cleaning/surging). Expected
completion date of September 1, 1984.
Expected start date for removal of excess dirt, pipe,
equipment, etc.
Expected date for removal of drilling rig.
Expected start date for test pumping operation (56 continuous
hours).
Sound barriers will be rearranged closer to test pump motor
to help reduce sound of operation.
