TILLER DAYS PROGRESS REPORT
RECOMMENDATION:
Receive and file.
BACKGROUND:
Council has requested staff to report on the Tiller Days Meeting. The
last meeting was held June 21, 1984 in the City Hall Conference Room.
The following items were discussed and handled.

Marines will operate carnival rides, staff the pancake
breakfast and the parking lot. Vendors and committee
members will have.passes. Parking fee will be $1.00.
The Tustin Unified School District is handling all electrical
requirements of Tiller Days. There will be no driving.on the
grass at Columbus Tustin Park.
Forty seven vendors are confirmed as of June 20. Letters went
out to Tustin Merchants requesting their participation in the
faire, booths, advertising and sponsorship, banners, and
parade.
The committee is considering having a sky diving exhibition
at Tiller Days. The company will provide insurance. The

route for the 5K Run was presented. The runners would receive
a pancake breakfast. Awards will be presented at 9:30 a.m.
The Boys Club will present "Reflections of Fine Cuisine" on
Thursday as a kick-off event.
There will be the following contests: horseshoes, tiny tots
pageant, break dancing, baking, pie eating, and tug of war.
The next meeting is July 19 at 4 p.m.
