HomeMy WebLinkAboutRPT 3 CITY PKG STRUC 08-06-84F--~ ~ ., ~ REPORTS ~ / /,~Y ~ NO. 3 '~ ~ ,~ '~ 6 84 , ~. 8-- August 6, 1984 FRO#: $ UBJ E.CT: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL COIeIUNITY DEVELOPMENT OEPARlliENT STATUS REPORT CONCERNING STRUCTURAL CRACKS Ill THE CITY PARKING STRUCTURE RAMP DISCUSSION: The City Council at its last meeting directed staff to report concerning its investigations of cracks forming in the parking structure ramp at 445 "C" Street..Staff has been aware of the problem and directed building department inspectors and structural plan checker to investigate the problem and recommendations for its correction. In the opinion of Ric Lazaro, our City's structural plan check engineer, the ramp cracks are probably caused by settlement of earth fill which supports the ramp. Mr. Lazaro recommended the general contractor employed by Gfeller Development Company contact its project engineer responsible for structural design and request an investigation. A letter reflecting Mr. Lazaro's recommendations has been forwarded to Gfeller Development. Staff will continue to advise Council concerning this subject. RECOMMENDATION: Receive and file. Director of Community Development DDL:do  REPORTS NO. 4 DATE: August 6, 1984 FROM: SUBJECT: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL COI~4UIiITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT SATELLITE DTSH ANTENNA REGULATIONS At its July 23, 1984 meeting, the Tustin Planning Commission voted to reconsider its recommendation to the City Council regarding the adoption of dish antenna installation regulations. This decision was based upon new information presented to the Planning Commission by Commissioner White. This item will therefore be scheduled for you in.
