OF THE TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL,
MONDAY, DECEMBER 23, 1957.
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Bacon, Tadlock, Humeston and Byrd.
COUNCILMEN ABSENT: Kidd.
CITY ATTORNEY: Dennis D. Hayden, present.
Meeting was called to order at 7:30 P. M. by Mayor Pro tem Bacon.
On Motion off Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman
Humeston and carried. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved
as mailed.
S. P. C. A. letter from Mrs. Bill Colliard, Chairman of Orange County
SHELTER Citizens' Committee for establishment of an S. P. C. A.
Shelter. After some discussion, it was decided by the
Council to defer action until a later meeting and further
investigation.
APPT OF A letter was received from the Tustin Fire Department
FIRE DEP'T requesting that Ralph Lindsay be appointed Fire Chief and
OFFICIALS Morgan Hilton, Ass't Fire Chief for the year of 1958.
Motion of Councilman Humeston, seconded by Councilman Tadlock,
that the above appointments be made as recommended by the
Tustin Fire Department. Motion carried.
HEART The request by the Heart Association to s~licit funds was
ASS'N approved on Motion of Councilman Humeston, seconded by
REQUEST Councilman Tadlock.
CAMPFIRE The Camp Fire Girls also requested permission to solicit
REQUEST funds and on Motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by
Councilman Byrd and carried, the above request was granted.
RESOLU- Motion of Councilman Byrd, seconded by Councilman Humeston
TION NO. that RESOLUTION NO. 428, which fixes the regular meeting days

PLANNING Motion of Councilman Humeston, seconded by Councilman
COMMISSION Tadlock, that the above RESOLUTION and the RESOLUTION adopted
CHANGE by the Tustin Planning Commission setting their meeting date,
ALSO the second Monday of each month, be published one time
only in the Tustin News. Motion carried.
DEED FROM Motion by Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman
MORRIS & Humeston that RESOLUTION NO. 429 be prepared and adppted,
EASTMAN accepting the deed froIn A. R. Morris, H. V. Eastman and
Hazel J. Eastman to the City of Tustin. Motion carried,
all Councilmen present voting Aye.
PETITION Motion by Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Byrd
ON H.S. that the Orange County Board of Supervisors be petitioned
ANNEX #2 to annex the "Tustin High School Annexation No. 2", as
petitioned by the Board of Trustees of the Tustin Union
High School and approved by the Orange County Boundary
Commission to the City of Tustin, according to the government
code. Motion carried.
Motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Humeston
that the bills be paid. Motion carried.
