HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1957 11 12 MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN CITY. COUNCIL, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 1957. COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Kidd, Humeston, Bacon & Byrd. COUNCILMEN ABSENT: Tadlock. CITY ATTORNEY: Dennis D. Hayden, present. Meeting was called to order at 7:30 P. M. by Mayor Kidd. On motion of Councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman Humeston and carried, Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as mailed. REQUEST FOR A A communication from Lester E. shaw, owner of the "Holi- DANCE PER- day Cafe" at 505 W. First Street, Tustin,California, was MIT, HOLI- read, in which he requested a permit for dancing at the above DAY CAFE. location. Motion of Councilman Byrd, seconded, by Councilman Bacon PERMIT that Lester E. Shaw be granted a permit to conduct dancing GRANTED. at 505 West First Street, Tustin, on the basis of information contained in his letter dated November 8th, 1957. Motion carried. REQUEST FOR Motion of Councilman Humeston, seconded by Councilman Byrd, ADDITIONAL that the request for additional equipment for the Fire Truck, EQUIPMENT from Fire Chief, Ralph Lindsay in his letter of November 12th, FOR FIRE 1957, be granted. Motion carried. DEPARTMENT. Motion of Councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman Humeston, ORDINANCE that ORDINANCE NO. 115 have its first reading by title only. NO. 115 1st Motion carried, all Councilmen present voting Aye. READING Motion of Councilman Byrd, seconded by Councilman Humeston, that RESOLUTION NO. 425 "Resolution of the City Council RESOLUTION of the City of Tustin authorizing the City Clerk, on behalf NO. 425 of the City of Tustin, to consent to the acceptance and recordation of deeds or grants conveying an interest in or easement upon real estate to the City of Tustin, for public purposes, pursuant to government code, Section 27281, as amended. Motion carried. FOUR YEAR Motion of Councilman Humeston, seconded by Councilman Bacon APPOINTMENT that RESOLUTION NO. 426 approving the appointment by Mayor FOR MRS. Kidd of Mrs. Sidney Gregory to the Tustin Planning Commission SIDNEY GREG- for a period of four years, be adopted. Motion carried. ORY. On motion of Councilman Humeston, seconded by Councilman Byrd that the bills, with the exception that the Invoice for 1957-58 dues to the International Conference of Building Officials be held over for further study, be paid.
