TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL, MONDAY, OCTOBER
14, 1957.
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Kidd, Tadlock, Humeston, Bacon & Byrd.
COUNCILMEN ABSENT: None.
CITY ATTORNEY: Dennis D. Hayden, present.
Mayor Kidd called the meeting to order at 7:45 P.M.
Motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman
Humeston that Minutes of previous meeting be approved as mailed.
Motion carried.
Correspondence was read and ordered filed.
City Attorney Dennis Hayden gave a brief report on the
league of California Cities' Convention in San Francisco.
RESOLUTION Motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Humeston
FOR RECORDA- that City Attorney Hayden be instructed to prepare a Resolution
TION OF DEEDS empowering City Clerk, A. O. Park to consent on behalf of
OR GRANTS the City of Tustin to recordation of deeds or grants con-
veying interest in real property to the City of Tustin for
public purposes. Motion carried.
Mayor Kidd brought up the matter of a proposed plan to
PROPOSED buy an interest in a sewer line belonging to the City of
PLAN ON SEWER Santa Ana and servicing a portion of District No. 7 in the
LINE. vicinity'between Tustin Avenue and Mabury Street. It was
the consensus of opinion that for the additional cost in-
volved that it might be more to the interest of District
No. 7 to construct a line of their own.
Mayor Kidd requested permission to leave the state until
October 27th, 1957.
On motion of Councilman Byrd, seconded by Councilman Humeston
and carried, the request was granted.
Motion by Councilman Byrd, seconded by Councilman Humeston
that Councilman Bacon be granted permission to leave the
state until October 18, 1957 as per request. Motion carried.
PURCHASE OF Chief of Police Johansen requested that the Police Depart-
F. & M. ment be allowed to purchase an F. M. Radio for office use
RADIO FOR as the old one was obsolete.
POLICE DEP'T.
On motion of Councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman Byrd
and carried, the purchase of a new radio was so ordered.
Motion of Councilman Byrd, seconded by Councilman Humeston,
that the bills be paid. Motion carried.
