Huston, City Manager Community Services Department TILLER DAYS PROGRESS REPORT RECOMMENDATION: Receive and file. The last The following Location Tiller Days will be held at Columbus Tustin Park. Cherrill Webb and Linda Andrews are making a tentative layout. Cherrill felt that we would need 50 spaces and 100 booths. The beer and wine booth will be located on City property. Cherrill will meet with Bill Teter regarding the source of electricity for the booths. There will be one tent for information (First-aid, Police and Fire). The snack stand would be used by the Committee to sell tickets and give out vouchers. Two Committee members would be in charge for each day of the event and a complete log of all incidents would be kept for continuing reference. Activities There will be continuous entertainment on'both stages. Judy Schnitzer and Cliff Polston will work on contests (pie-eating, et cetera). The Marines and the Chamber of Commerce will again sponsor a pancake breakfast. The Marine-sponsored Tug-of-War will be Saturday afternoon. Kick-Off The Boys and Girls Club Endowment Party may be held the week before Tiller Days. A catered gourmet wine and hors d'oeuvres fundraiser at Saddleback Mortuary side lawn is planned. Correspondence Ninety-eight applications were mailed. Sharon Williams designed the new applications. Vivien Owens will update the merchant's letter and send it out with the new application form. "Tustin Today" will contain Tiller Days information. Parade The parade route is still being discussed. Cherrill Webb and Cliff Polston will help work out the definition of "intermittent" traffic with the Police Department. The route must meet certain requirements to have S.C.S.B.O.A. sanction.
