SUBJECT: WELL CONSTRUCTION
Dear Resident:
The Tustin Community Redevelopment Agency will begin constructing a water well in
your area on , 1984. The well will be located at the southeast corner
of Prospect Avenue and Beneta Way. This well not only will be a new source of
water for City residents, but it will also provide information as to where high
nitrates occur within the water basin which will help improve the quality of our
water.
To complete the work in the shortest posssible time, and to avoid problems in
keeping the well hole open., drilling must continue twenty-four hours a day and on
a daily basis. It is estimated that the drilling operation will take about 6-8
days to complete.
We have required noise control measures for the project in order to minimize noise
and disturbance to nearby residents. However., well drilling involves the use of
heavy equipment., such as diesel engines and pumps.
Large trucks may be utilized to bring construction supplies such as pipe and
gravel to the well site. These trucks may temporarily interfere with traffic in
the area., but only on an intermittant basis, Also, a temporary pipeline may be
laid across Beneta Way to route construction water into the Orange County Flood
Control Channel.
We apologize for any inconvenience this work may cause you and we appreciate your
cooperation and understanding that the work is necessary to provide you with a
reliable and good quality water supply.
If you have any questions about any aspect of this well project., please call
either myself or Mr. Earl Rowenhorst of the Tustin Water Service at 544-8890.
Very truly yours,
Bob Ledendecker
