HomeMy WebLinkAboutRPT 2 ZONE CONSIST. 04-02-84  REPORTS NO. 2 April 2, 1984 Honora'ble Mayor & Members of the City Council Community Development Department Zone Consistency with General Plan Discussion Recently, a property owner in the community brought to Council's attention an inconsistency between his property's zone classification and its designated land use in the City's General Plan. Council specifically directed staff to thoroughly'compare both the land use element of the General Plan and City zoning map and report any inconsistencies. Community Development staff has compTeted its review and discovered at least 13 properties which have conflicting General Plan and zone designations. The attached maps indicate specific site, zoning, General Plan Land Use designation and existing land use. Rather than initiate a comprehensive zone change or General Plan amendment, staff seeks approval from Council to further study each parcel to determine its most logical land use of zone.designation.' Within sixty days, staff will return with specific recommendations for each of the 13 designated areas whereupon Council may then initiate the appropriate action. Recommndati on Receive and file.
