MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
OF THE TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL,
MONDAY, MAY 27th, 1957
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Kidd, Tadlock, Humeston, Bacon & Byrd.
COUNCILMEN ABSENT: None.
CITY ATTORNEY: C. Arthur Nisson, Jr. present.
Mayor Kidd called the meeting to order at 7:30 P. M.
On motion of Councilman Byrd, seconded by Councilman Tadlock
and carried, the Minutes were approved as mailed out.
A letter from Rosie Wa]ker was read, requesting a permit for
ROSIE Palm reading. On motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by
WALKER Councilman Humeston, subject to clearance by Chief of Police
GRANTED Johansen, that Mrs. Rosie Walker be granted a permit for Palm-
PERMIT istry, license granted on a thirty day basis, payable in advance.
FOR PALM- Motion carried.
ISTRY.
City Attorney Nisson read the contract for trash and garbage
disposal to be executed between the City of Tustin and the Holthe
Disposal Service.
SIGNING OF On motion of Councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman Byrd and
HOLTHE duly carried, Mayor Kidd was authorized to sign the contract
CONTRACT for the City of Tustin.
FIRST Ordinance No. 110 "An Ordinance for the Control and Licensing of
READING Dogs, etc." was read in its entirety by City Attorney Nisson.
ON ORD. Motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Byrd, that
#110 Ordinance No. 110 he approved for its first reading. Motion
carried. All Councilmen voting Aye.
PUBLIC Motion by Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Bacon,
HEARING that a Public Hearing on a proposed Ordinance to amend Ordinance
ON AMEND- No. 71 of the City of Tustin; to establish Estate, Agriculture
ING 0F and House Trailer zones in the city and amending uses permitted
ORD. 71 in the M-! zone, be held at 8:00 P. M., June 10th, 1957. Motion
carried.
TERMINA- Motion by Councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman Tadlock, that

two weeks vacation pay and an additional two weeks pay at the
regular rate. Motion carried.
RECONPENSE Motion by Councilman Tadlock seconded by Councilman Humeston
TO POLICE that necessary time spent in Court by members of the Police
DEPT FOR Department, when not on regular duty, be recompensed at their
TIME SPENT regular salary rate per hour, retroactive to June 1, 1957.
IN COURT Motion carried.
Motion of Councilman Byrd, seconded by Councilman Tadlock that
YOUTH a portion of the area set aside for park purposes, be made
PROGRAM available for a Youth Program, if and when terms and conditions
are worked out on a basis agreeable to all parties concerned.
Motion carried.

Motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Byrd
that after a rechsck on the gas bill for the Fire Department,
that the bills be paid. Motion carried.
