HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC 9 TREE REMOVAL 03-19-84 MARCH 12, 1984 ~ATE: WILLIAM HUSTON, CITY MANAGER HUGH WEST, MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDENT FROM: S UBJ ECT: HOMEOWNER REQUEST FOR TREE REMOVAL RECOMMENDATION: I recommend the trees be removed, as requested, and replacements be made of Mr. McMahon's choice from the City approved tree list. BACKGROUND: Mr. McMahon of 14092 Woodlawn has requested the City remove two parkway trees. states that the trees cause problems by continually dropping leaves year .round, insects have infested the trees and they are making a mess. He DISCUSSION: Mr. McMahon has two little leaf Elm trees, they are deciduous and quite messy. The leaves and bloom droppings are very fine and when the wind blows they get into everything. The trees have a very good root system and show no damage to the concrete work at this time. Notification was handed out to the surrounding neighbors stating that Mr. McMahon has requested the trees be removed. Since the removal of this tree will effect the environment in which you live, we solicit your comments. If you object to the removal please respond in writing. If we have not heard from you within l0 days after receipt of this letter, we will assume you have no objections to the removal.
