HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1957 03 25 MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL, MONDAY, MARCH 25, 1957 COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Kidd, Tadlock, Bacon, & Byrd. COUNCILMEN ABSENT: Humeston. CITY ATTORNEY: C. Arthur Nisson, present. Mayor Kidd called the meeting to order promptly at 7:30 P. M. On motion by Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Bacon and duly carried the minutes were approved as mailed out. City Attorney Nisson read ORDINANCE NO. 109, "Ordinance ORD. #109 amending Ordinance No. 71, zoning "A. R. Morris Annexation to Tustin." FIRST Motion by Councilman Byrd, seconded by Councilman Tadlock READING ON that ORDINANCE N0. 109 be approved for it's first reading. ORD.#109 Motion carried. : P.M., by Mayor Kidd. PREBLE James O. Preble informed the Council that he wished to PROTEST file a protest to the above annexation and would do so ON EAST- in writing within the required ten days from this meeting. SIDE. A letter of protest, signed by Cecil S. Suddaby, attorney SUDDABY, in fact for Mrs. Margaret M. Suddaby and also signed by FARRAR Mae K. Farrat, was read. City Attorney Nisson, upon PROTEST examination of the letter stated it was not in proper form EASTSIDE and therefore invalid for a protest. There being no further protests, the hearing was closed. Mr. S. R. Witham, representing the Christian Science Society, presented a request for permission to erect a directional sign to the Christian Science Society. The matter was referred to Chief Johansen for disposition. FINANCIAL William H. "Bill" Gray appeared before the Council and re- ASSISTANCE quested financial assistance again for the Tustin Boy's GIVEN TO Little League for the coming season. On motion by Council- LITTLE man Bacon, seconded by Councilman Tadlock and duly carried, LEAGUE $750.00 was granted the "Tustin Boy's Baseball, Inc.,"for field maintenance and in addition the city to pay the light bill. Motion by Councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman Byrd that the bills be paid. Motion carried. California Physicians' Service .... $47.70 State Compensation Inc.
