HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC 8 VEHICULAR ACCESS 02-21-84DATE: FEBRUARY 8, 1984 CONSENT CALENDAR NO. 8 2-21-84 Inter-Corn TO: FRO~: SUBJECT: WILLIAM HUSTON, CITY MANAGER BOB LEDENDECKER, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER RELINQUISHMENT OF VEHICULAR ACCESS RIGHTS TO RED HILL AVENUE - TRACT NO. 7721 RECOMMENDATION: That the Tustin City Council, at their meeting of February 21, 1984, authorize the Mayor to execute the Quitclaim Deed to the owner of Lot 10, Tract No. 7721, for the relinquishment of access rights to Red Hill Avenue. BACKGROUND: In August, 1974 whenTract No. 7721 was approved, all vehicular access to Red Hill Avenue from Lot 10 were dedicated to the City of Tustin. The current developers of Lot 10,' Tract No. 7721, Boureston Development Company, have requested driveway access to Red Hill Avenue, in addition to that access existing on Valencia Avenue. Lot 10, Tract 7721, is located at the southwesterly corner of Red Hill and Valencia Avenues. DISCUSSION: This request for access to Red Hill Avenue is for the construction of a joint driveway and access to Red Hill Avenue to be shared by Lot 10, Tract No. 7721, and the building located at 15551 Red Hill Avenue. The driveway would be located at the southerly 14 ft. of Lot 10 and at the northerly 14 ft. of the parcel located at 15551 Red Hill Avenue. A 14 foot wide driveway currently exists at the northerly side of the parcel located at 15551 Red Hill Avenue. This driveway access would provide for improved access to 15551 Red Hill Avenue and provide for two way circulation for Lot 10. The execution of the attached Quitclaim Deed will relinquish the access rights to Red Hill Avenue to accommodate the 28 foot wide driveway, as requested.
