WYNN, CITY CLERK RESOLUTION R~GARDING VOTING PRECINCTS, POLLING PLACES, AND PRECINCT BOARD MEI~BERS AND COt,IPENSATION RECOI~ENDATION: Adoption of Resolution No. 84-22 as follows: RESOLUTION NO. 84-22 - A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Tustin, California, ESTABLISHING VOTING PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES, APPOINTING PRECINCT BOARD MEMBERS AND FIXING COMPENSATION FOR THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, APRIL 10, 1984, HERTOFORE CALLED BY RESOLUTION NO. 83-105 OF THE CITY COUNCIL BACKGROUND: The General Municipal Election for the City of Tustin is to be held on April 'I0, 1984, for the ~ection of three members of the City Council and one City Clerk. County election precincts have been consolidated into 15 City precincts. Polling places and workers have been selected as contained in Resolution No. 84-22. The compensation for the workers is the same as for the last General Municipal Election in 1982. RESOLUTION NO. 84-22 2 3 4 5 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING VOTING PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES, APPOINTING PRECINCT BOARD MEMBERS AND FIXING COMPENSATION FOR THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, APRIL 10, 1984, HERETOFORE CALLED BY RESOLUTION NO. 83-105 OF THE CITY COUNCIL WHEREAS, a general municipal election to be held on Tuesday, April 10, 1984, has been heretofore called by Resolution No. 83-105 adopted on December 19, 1983; 8 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That for the purpose of holding said regular general 10 municipal ~ection, there shall be and are hereby established fifteen (15) voting precincts consisting of consolidations of the regular election pre- 11 cincts in the City of Tustin established for the holding of state and county elections, as said regular election precincts exist on the date of adoption of 12 this resolution; that the polling places for the respective precints shall be the places hereinafter designated; and that the persons hereinafter named', 13 bein§ competent and qualified ~ectors and residents of said City are hereby appointed precinct board members for their respective voting prectnts and they 14 shall I aw. 15 16 17 hold said ~ection and make return thereof in the manner provided by Votin9 Precinct 1. That the compensation of the persons hereinbefore named as precinct board members is hereby fixed at the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) for each Inspector and forty dollars ($40.00) for each Judge and Clerk for said election. The rental for each of such polling places, where a charge is made, shall be the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for said election. When required, the compensation of the custodian of a building shall be ten dollars ($10.00) for said election. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at whch the same is passed and adopted.
