BUCKINGHAM PLACE OIL SPILLAGE
Staff has investigated the oil spill in the cul-de-sac portion of Buckingham
Place, which was caused by one of the S.C.A. Services of Orange County refuse
trucks. This spill had apparently occured several days prior reviewing it on
January $, 1984. It has pretty well dried up due to the dry and windy weather
conditions.
If staff can be alerted to these spills while the oil is still relatively fresh,
we can alert S.C.A. and most of the spill can be cleaned with a steam cleaning.
This particular spill was pretty well dried up and would not respond to the steam
cleaning. It appears that the upcoming rainy season will help eliminate most of'
the staining and discolorization.
S.C.A. has been alerted to inspect all of their equipment, which is to be utilized
in Tustin so as to eliminate any future spills.
