TO:
WILLIAM HUSTON, CITY MANAGER
FROM: BOB LEDENDECKER, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER
SUBJECT: CALTRANS DISTRICT NO. 1 2 FUNDING (INFORMATION REPORT)
In response to Councilman Edgar's recent inquiry regarding the
subject funding timetable, the following information was obtained
from the Orange County Transportation Commission staff:
1. Any funding adjustments will be effective on July 1,
1983.
There may be some effect felt in the 1982 STIP (State
Transportation Improvement Program). However, there is
some uncertainty as to what degree the impact will be.
The passage of Senate Bill No. 215 really overshadows
the District 12 formation in that it required that the
funding minimums be allocated to each County regardless
of the Caltrans Districts.
As new information is made available, it will be forwarded to
you and the City Council.
