PRCSPECT AVENUE STREET IMPRGJEMENTS
At a previous rose_ting, the Tustin City Council requested staff to revi~ the cost
of widening the roadway adjacent to 130 S. Prospect Avenue to match existing
improvements immediately northerly and southerly of the site and new ~,_~covements
to be constructed by. a developer at the corner of Prospe_ ct Ave. and Second St.
The estimated cost for these improvements is $20,100.00 including the cost of
right of way. The required right of way is 500 sq. ft. at a cost of $8,000.00.
It may be possible to make an offer to the property_ owner to consuruct all street
improvements in exchange for the dedication of the requ~ ired right of way.
It appears that this street widening could be funded through the follow, lng
sources:
1. Redevelopment Agency
2. General fund monies
3. Gas tax ~Dnies
4. Street and highway Code-Chapter 27 (Property Owner Resl~onsibility)
Depending upon timing of the development at the nort~hwesterly corner of Pr~psect
Ave. and Second St. and source of funding, this project could mst tLkely be
scheduled for the 1982-83 Capital Improvement Program.
