HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC 3 ACCESS RIGHTS 02-01-82CONSENT CALENDAR No. 3 2 ~1..~82 TO: FROH: SUBJECT: WILLIAM HUSTfl~, CITY MAN;~ER BC~ L~DENDECKER, DIREC~I~R C~ PUBLIC WOrKS/CITY ENGINEER RELINQUISf~T CF ACCESS RIGHTS TO ~2FUT AVENUE - TRACT NO. 8603 RECfl~ENDATICN: That the Tustin City Council, at their meeting of February 1, 1982, authorize the Mayor to execute the Quitclaim Deed to the owner of Lot No. 8, for the relinquishment of access rights to Walnut Avenue. BACKGR(IA~D: The developers of the industrial building remodel located on the northwesterly corner of Walnut Avenue and Myford Road have requested additional access to Walnut Avenue from the corner parcel (Lot 8, of Tract No. 8603). This request is for an additional driveway 30 feet in width on Walnut Avenue. The centerline of said driveway is located approximately 197 feet westerly of the curb return at Myford Road. This additional access will be limited to right turn ingress and egress to and from Lot No. 8. There will be no additional breaks allowed in the existing median on Walnut Avenue. This additional access will provide better on-site circulation to the proposed expansion of the parking lot and will not impact the traffic circulation along Walnut Avenue. Sen the tract (No. 8603) was developed, all vehicular access rights along Walnut Avenue, except at initial driveway locations, were dedicated to the City of Tustin. These access rights may be relinquished by the City with the execution of the attad~ed Quitclaim ~cd to the owner of Lot 8.
