RECOMMENDATION
That the Tustin City Council at their meeting of February 1, 1982, award
the bid to Martin Resnick Construction Company in the amount of $31,600 for
building modifications to the Police and Finance Departments.
BACKGROUND
Bids were solicited for building modifications to the Police and Finance
Departments and were received as follows:
Martin Resnick Const. Co., Laguna Beach
Sentry Builders, Los Alamitos
Means & Ulrich, Santa Aha
Hewett Development Co., Orange
Spec Builders, Laguna Hills

The modifications to City Hall include the addition of approximately 450
square feet of new office space to the Finance Department and the reloca-
tion of the Community Services counter. The modular office separations to
be utilized in the Finance Department are not included in this contract.
The modifications to the Police Department include removing walls to
redefine and enlarge office areas. Some cabinet work is required.
The breakdown by item for the $31,600 bid includes; $26,700 for modifica-
tions to the Finance and Community Services Departments, and $4,900 for
modifications to the Police Department.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The 1981-82 budget for public facilities includes a $35,000 allocation for
building modifications to the Finance/City Hall and Police Departments.
Some of these funds have been expended on miscellaneous projects in City
Hall.
