Thayer, Chief of Police Bail Schedule for Parking Citations Recommendation: That the proposed bail schedule revisions be submitted to Council for approval on the meeting of March 1, 1982. Background: As a part of the automation of the Police Department's parking citations, our existing bail schedule was examined to determine if it was on a par with surrounding agencies. The bail schedules for the cities of Orange, Fountain Valley, and Santa Aha were used for comparison. The findings of this survey were utilized for formulation of this proposed bail schedule. Implementation of this bail schedule will bring the City of Tustin in line with surrounding jurisdictions. LAVOIE, DEPUTY CITY ATTORNEY PROPOSED BAIL SCHEDULE FOR PARKING VIOLATIONS Please find enclosed a draft Resolution of the City Council of the City of Tustin amending the City's Bail Schedule. A copy of the Pr6posed Bail Schedule is attached to the Resolution as Exhibit "A". The amounts reflected in the Bail Schedule are sums that have been proposed by the Tustin Police Department on the ba§is of a survey of bail schedules of other Orange County cities. If the proposed Resolution and Bail Schedule meet with your satisfaction, this matter should be put on the City Council's agenda for adoption of the Resolution. When the Resolution has been adopted by the City Council, we will forward the new Bail Schedule to the Municipal Court so that it can be put into effect. Said amended Bail Schedule shall become effective upon approval by the Orange County Municipal Court, Central District. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meetina of the City Council of the City of Tustin, California, held on the day of , 1982.
