MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
HELD ON MONDAY EVENING, JANUARY 9,
1956, IN THE CITY HALL
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Jerome C. Kidd, W. L. Tadlock, Arthur
O. Park, Frank E. Bacon, Jr., and Lee
A. Byrd.
COUNCILMEN ABSENT: None
CITY ATTORNEY: C. Arthur Nisson, Jr., was present.
Mayor Kidd called the meeting to order at 7:30
P. M., following adjournment of a meeting of
the Tusttn Planning Commission.
Minutes of the regular meeting of December 27th
were approved as mailed out upon motion of Coun-
cilman Bacon, seconded by Byrd and duly carried.
CERTIFIED GROCERS Mayor Kidd read a letter from Certified Grocers
REQUESTED TO PAY of California protesting a request from the City
WHEEL TAX LICENSE forpayment of 1956 Wheel Tax License. Council
discussed the matter and instructed City Attorney
Nisson to answer requesting payment of the Li-
cense Fee.
Mayor Kidd read a letter from the County of Orange
Traffic Committee which recommends no action in
the City's request for reversal of "Stop Signs"
at the intersection of "B" and Sixth Street until
a traffic count can be made by the County Road
Department.
AGREEMENT WITH Upon motion of Councilman Bacon, seconded by Park

MAYOR KIDD TO Mayor Kidd was authorized to approve an Agreement

ORDINANCE NO. 95 Ordinance No. 95 entitled "An Ordinance of the

walks, Streets and Private Driveway Streets in
the City of Tustin, etc., was presented for first
reading by title only upon motion of Councilman
Bacon, seconded by Park and first reading was ap-
proved by Roll Call Vote. All voting Aye.
CITY JOINS PACIFIC Upon motion of Councilman Bacon, seconded by
COAST BUILDING Tadlock and carried, it was agreed to join the
CONFERENCE Pacific Coast Building Conference Officials Asso-
ASSOCIATION ciation with dues at $40.00 per year.
CITY CONTRACTS TO City Engineer McBride submitted four bids for re-

was authorized to contract for removal of eleven
eucalyptus trees for a sum not to exceed $1,000.
Approval for revised plans for Project No. 22 as

requested by Engineer McBride was granted upon motion
of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Byrd and duly
Carried.
ENGINEER MCBRIDE Councilman Bacon moved to authorize Engineer McBride
TO REMOVE CONCRETE to remove concrete headwall and widen pavement at the
HEADWALL AND WIDEN North West Corner Prospect Avenue and First Street.
PAVEMENT AT PROS- seconded by Park the motion carried.
PECT & FIRST STS.
Upon motion of Councilman Park, seconded by Tadlock
and duly carried, the authorization of the issuance
of a Purchase Order whereby Chief of Police Johansen
can purchase the necessary equipment for proper hand-
ling and hauling of dogs to the pound was approved.
BILLS The following bills were presented and ordered paid
upon motion of Councilman Park, seconded by Byrd and
carried.
