MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
HELD ON MONDAY EVENING, DECEMBER 12,
1955, IN THE, CITY HALL
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Jerome C. Kidd, Arthur O. Park,
W. L. Tadlock & Frank E. Bacon, Jr.
COUNCILMEN ABSENT: Lee Byrd
CITY ATTORNEY: C. Arthur Nisson, Jr. was present.
The meeting was called to' order by Mayor Kidd at
7:35 P. M.
Upon motion by Tadlock, seconded by Park and duly
carried, minutes of the previous meeting of November 28
were approved as mailed out.
Upon motion of Councilman Bacon, seconded by Tadlock,
the recomendation of the Fire Department regarding Chief
and Assistant Chief was approved.
Councilman Park moved, Bacon seconded, that
Humeston be reappointed to the Orange County Mosquito
Abatement District. Motion Carried.
Carston Johannsen was present and complained about
the noise in regards to Tustin Auto Parts Shop. Nisson
stated that noise should cease at 6 P. M. Chief Johansen
said he had already notified them.
John prescott was present in regard to putting in
a 45 unit Trailer Park at Third & Prospect Streets.
McBride estimated cost of paving Third Street at approx-
imately $3300. for one block. The matter was discussed
at length and left for future decision.
McBride spoke of Main Street Project to F having poor
drainage. Concrete curbing gutter will be put in by Tustin
Water Works if City will pave same. Money can come out of
Special Gas Tax Improvement Fund. McBride was authorized
to widen pavement from Prospect to F Street and to submit
a Project Statement to State Highway Department. Moved by
Park, seconded by Bacon and duly carried.
Tadlock moved, Park seconded, that Street Superin-
tendant purchase signs prohibiting trucks from certain
streets. Carried.
McBride submitted low bid of $4.00 per orange tree
and $100. for mulberry tree by Ivey and Thomas. Tadlock
moved, Bacon seconded that Clerk issue purchase order to
remove trees. Carried.
Tadlock moved, Bacom seconded and duly carried that
Street Superintendant be authorized to hire additional
labor for cleaning out gutters, etc.
Resolution No. 378 entitled, "Resolution of the City
Council of the City of Tustin approvlng amendment number 1
to the agreement for maintenance of State Highway in the
City of Tustin", was read. Moved by Bacon, seconded by
Tadlock and carried that it be adopted.
Upon motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Park
and carried, the following bills were ordered paid.

Councilman Tadlock moved to adjourn. Councilman
Bacon seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Meeting Adjourned until December 19,, 1955 at
7:30 P. M. at City Council Chamber.
