MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
HELD ON MONDAY EVENING, OCTOBER 10,
1955, IN THE CITY HALL
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Jerome C. Kidd, Frank E. Bacon, Jr.,
Arthur O. Park and W.L. Tadlock.
COUNCILMAN ABSENT: John V. Sauers.
CITY ATTORNEY: C. Arthur Nisson, Jr., was present.
Mayor Kidd called the meeting to order at 7:35 P. M.
Minutes of the previous meeting of September 26
were approved as mailed out upon motion of Councilman
Park, seconded by Tadlock and duly carried.
Mr. C. E. Bradley, representing Dream Homes, Inc.,
was present and requested permission for that organiza-
tion to place an advertising sign at the South West Cor-
nor of First and Prospect Streets. Mr. Bradley was re-
ferred to the City Clerk for the purpose of obtaining
a form for Variance application.
R. J. NOBLE CO. City Engineer McBride was present and requested
CONTRACT, PRO- that the completion date of contract between City of
JECT 227, EX- Tustin and R. J. Noble Co., dated May 9, 1955, for im-

DEC. 9, 1955 tended to December 9, 1955, to permit revising of plans.
Request granted upon motion of Councilman Tadlock,
seconded by Park and csrried.
Engineer McBride brought up the matter of future
Traffic Signal maintenance at Main & "D" Streets when
same are turned back to the City. Mr. McBride was re-
quested to contact the State Highway Department regard-
ing possible maintenance arrangements.
DIRECTIONAL Council discussed the matter of directional signs
SIGNS TO along the new Freeway, in the vicinity of Tustin, dir-
TUSTIN ON ecting Tustin bound traffic into the City, with the
FREEWAY City Engineer who was requested to take this matter up
with the proper State Highway authorities as soon as
possible.
Upon motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by
Bacon and duly carried, City Attorney Nisson was au-
thorized to prepare an agreement relative to possible
fire calls between the City of Tustin and certain
Packing Houses on Newport Avenue and in the vicinity
of Newport Avenue and Irvine Boulevard.
BILLS The following bills were ordered paid upon mo-
tion of Councilman Park, seconded by Tadlock and
carried.

UNITED NATIONS Upon motion of Councilman Bacon, seconded by Tadlock
DAY PRO- and duly carried, Mayor Kidd was requested to proclaim
CLAIMED Monday. October 24, 1955, as United Nations Day.
Councilman Tadlock moved to adjourn. Councilman
Bacon seconded the motion. Motion carried.
