CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, HELD ON JUNE 13, 1955,
IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN
PRESENT: Mayor Kidd, Councilmen Park, Tadlock, Bacon and
Sauers
ABSENT: None
CITY ATTORNEY: Nisson was present.
Mayor Kidd called the meeting to order at 7:35 P- M.
Upon motion of Councilman Park, duly seconded and carried,
reading of the Minutes of the previous meeting of May 23
as corrected, were approved as mailed out and corrected.
Mr. Dean Francis, of 445 South "C" Street, was present
and protested a notification that trash from his place
of business at the above address would no longer be
picked up. Council assured him that the above notification
was a mistake and misunderstanding.
City Engineer McBride stated that Mr. E. R. Bringle has
submitted a price of $125.00 each for dropping and re-
moving three eucalyptus trees on the North side of a row
of trees on the East side of Tract No. 1461. Mr. McBride
was authorized to have these trees removed upon motion
of Councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman Sauers and
duly carried. The price of $125.00 per tree is based on
the City's responsibility for having the telephone com-
pany and the Edison Company temporarily remove their
respective wires.
Engineer McBride stated that Orange County's estimate of
the City's share for paving a 24 foot highway on "B"
Street, South of Sixth Street, is $1,717.50.
RESOLUTION NO. Upon motion of Councilman Sauers, seconded by Councilman
368 ADOPTED Bacon and duly carried, Resolution No. 368 entitled "Re-
solution of the City Council of the City of Tustin, Calif-
ornia, Authorizing the City Engineer to Sign Project State-
ment and Approving and Adopting a Budget of Expenditures
from the Gas Tax Funds" was adopted by roll call vote.
City Engineer McBride was authorized to request County
Funds for the improvement of South "D" Street when such
moneys are available, upon motion of Councilman Tadlock,
seconded by Park and carried.
Edward Cox was present and outlined a planned addition
to his Food Store at 405 "D" Street. His plan includes
the use of 5 feet of the present sidewalk on "D" Street.
Mayor Kidd read a letter from the City of Huntington
Beach inviting Tustin to participate in their Annual 4th
of July Parade with a float or otherwise. No action was
taken by the Council.
STIVERS Upon motion of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Park and
APPOINTED carried, the appointment of Glenn H. Stivers, of 350
CIVIL DEFENSE South 'B' Street, Tustin, as Civil Defense Commander for
COMMANDER Tustin was approved.
BILLS The following bills were ordered paid upon motion of Coun-
cilman Bacon, seconded by Park and carried.

The meeting was adjourned upon motion of Councilman Park,
