It is also recommended that warnings be issued in lieu of citations for the first 30 days after the sign installation. BACKGROUND: A request for restricted parking during street sweeping operations along Pasadena Avenue between Sycamore and McFadden Avenues has been received from the managers of the apartments located at 15910 Pasadena Avenue. Past policy has been only to post the streets for restricted parking for street sweeping operations adjacent to the requesting parcel. Consequently, this recommendation will only cover the area adjacent to 15910 Pasadena Avenue for a cnarb distance of 350 lineal feet as shown in red on the attached drawing. DISCUSSION: Over the past 2 1/2 years, Council has approved several other similar requests throughout the City which have been working very satisfactorily. This request would consist of 350 lineal feet area of curb along the easterly side of Pasadena Avenue adjacent to 15910 Pasadena Avenue. Any additional restrictions should require a request from the other property owners or managers of the other parcels of land. The suggested signing for this area Would read as follows: NO PARKING 6:00 AM TO NOON THURSDAY STREET SWEEPING BOB LEDENDECKER DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/ CITY ENGINEER db cc: Sgt. S~ith, T.P.D. May 18, 1982 The Honorable Richard Edgar Mayor of Tustin 300 Centennial Way Tustin, CA 92680 Dear Sir: Upon the advice of your City Street Supervisor, we are requesting, in writing, that our street (Pasa- dena) between Sycamore and McFadden Streets be posted for city street sweeping. Ours is a street of apartment buildings and as you might well imagine, cars are parked along the curbs almost 24 hours a day. If it is not possible to permanently post Pasadena for a routine sweeping, could it be posted temporarily to at least give the street one good sweeping before the sunm~er sets in. I don't believe it has been totally swept from end-to-end in the last year. Your cooperation in this matter will be appreciated. Very truly yours, MONTSERRAT APARTMENTS C.
