CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, HELD ON MONDAY EVENING,
MARCH 14, 1955, AT 8:00 P. M. AT THE
CITY HALL
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Jerome C. Kidd, Frank E. Bacon, Jr., Arthur
O. park, W. L. Tadlock and John V. Sauers.
COUNCILMEN ABSENT: None
CITY ATTORNEY: C. Arthur Nisson, Jr., was present.
Mayor Kidd cai!ed the meeting to order at 8:00 P. M., im-
mediately following adjournment of the meeting of the
Tustin planning Commission.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as
read.
A card from the family of Chas. McCart, Mayor of Brea,
thanking the Council for a floral piece sent to Mr. McCart's
funeral was read by Mayor Kidd.
Mayor Kidd read a letter from the California Highway Com-
mission relating to the future policy of that Commission
in regad to the adoption of Freeway Routes.
City Engineer McBride read a letter from the State High-
way Department in regard to Project 22.
RESOLUTION City Attorney Nisson presented Resolution No. 366 en-
NO. 366 titled "Resolution of the City Council of the City of
-ADOPTED Tustin Approving Plans and Specifications for the Imp-
rovement of South "D" Street, a Major City Street, Be-
tween Laguna Avenue - U. S. 101 and Frontage Road Along
Northerly ~ide of Santa AnaFreeway, Project No. 22, and
Authorizing and Directing the City Clerk to Advertise
for Bids," which was adopted upon motion of Councilman
Park, seconded by Councilman Bacon and duly carried.
Mr. E. L. Willjams, representing A. M. Donaher & Son,
was present and explained the mechanics of the Leach
Packmaster for hauling garbage and compactable refuse.
Mayor Kidd proposed abandonment of the present "On Duty"
police pay arrangement and to grant pay increases to
regular police officers other than the Police Chief.
Police Commissioner Tadlock agreed to submit a revised
schedule for police salaries at the next meeting.
Upon motion of Councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman
Park and carried it was agreed that if there is a favor-
able reaction to telephone calls to San Bernardino and
Ontario to inquiries concerning the Beach Packmaster
that Street Commissioner Sauers be granted authority to
order same to be installed on chassis selected, painted,
lettered, delivered and the City,s operator instructed,
at the quoted price of $2,990.00.

April 11, 1955, at the City Hall, upon motion of Council-
man Park, seconded by Councilman Tadlock and duly carried.
