HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1955 01 24 MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, HELD ON MONDAY EVENING, JANUARY 24, 1955, AT 7:30 P. M. AT THE CITY HALL COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Jerome C. Kidd, W. L. Tadlock, Arthur O. Park, John V. Sauers and Frank E. Bacon, COUNCILMEN ABSENT: None CITY ATTORNEY: C. Arthur Nisson, Jr., was present. Mayor Kidd called the meeting to order at 7:30 P. M. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Correspondence was presented by Mayor Kidd, examined, and disposed of as was deemed necessary. City Attorney Nisson presented Ordinance No. 91 en- titled "Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 71 Zoning Prescott's Annexation to the City of Tustin" for first reading by title only upon motion of Councilman Park, seconded by Councilman Bacon and carried by roll call vote. Councilman Park moved to approve the second reading of Ordinance No. 91 and that the same be adopted. Coun- cilman Bacon seconded the motion which was carried by roll call vote. RESOLUTION Resolution No. 36~ entitled "Resolution of the City --- NO. 364 Council of the City of Tustin Requesting A~n Allocation of ADOPTED the County Highway Users Tax for the Improvement of South "D" Street was presented by Attorney Nisson and adopted upon motion of Councilman Sauers, seconded by Councilman Bacon and carried by roll call vote. NEW POLICE Councilman Tadlock presented several bids for sup- CAR AU- plying the~City with a new Police Car. Upon motion of THORIZED Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Park and car- ried, Police Chief Johansen was authorized to purchase a new Police Car from Bill Cox in Ford, of Orange, Calif. Council discussed painting the inside and outside of City Hall, not including the inside of the Branch Library, but including the outside of the Fire Hall. Authorization to secure bids for this proposed work was granted. BILLS The following bills were submitted, examined and or- dered paid upon motion of Councilman Sauers, seconded by Councilman Park and duly carried. Seaside Oil Company $68.40 Orange County League of Cities 12.50 R. K. McLean, M. D. 170.00 "" Tustin Paint Store 7.51 Petty Cash Fund 23.51 TOTAL $281.92 Councilman Bacon moved to adjourn.
